Learn how to decorate a Venetian mask in one of the most famous mask atelier of the city.

Here they produce a wide range of masks based not only on their original designs but also on the masks that featured in the Venetian Carnival, in the theatre (Commedia dell’Arte) or were just part of everyday life in the city.

After a theoretical explanation of the history and meaning of these various masks, each participant is free to choose the one which they would most enjoy decorating.

Starting with the unadorned white mask, the participants can choose from a range of six different procedures: two different painting techniques (like those used on traditional masks) and four different finishing techniques - all of which allow the participants to give free rein to their own creativity.

When their work is finished, each person will have their own unique mask, designed using professional techniques of decoration.
