The Old Granaries of the Republic

In the past centuries the “Granai” at the Zitelle were used to store grains, wheat and other cereals to avoid lack of food during wars, drought and famine.

Nowadays despite major restoration works, the “Granai” still keep the charm and purity in architecture of an old functional building.

Just facing Saint Mark’s Square, the 3 brick naves, with their 8 meters high ceiling and paved floor, are the ideal place for special events, conference, meetings, cocktails, gala dinners and exhibitions.
