Located in the charming Campo San Stefano of Murano island, there is a small building with a first story colonnade as if it’s been there since Roman times.

It houses a great restaurant with a large, ebullient red-headed host, and serves some of the best food on the island.

This restaurant is dominated by the personality - and bulk - of its owner.

Lele Masiol is a giant of a man with flowing auburn hair and a bushy beard; he can usually be seen wandering from table to table, dispensing advice and anecdotes, or sitting down to argue an especially vital point.

The tables spreading out over the Campo are a good place to spend a sunny lunchtime and indulge in a feast of fresh fish.
