Restaurant Osteria la Zucca
- S. Croce, 1762
- Venice
The setting of “at the sign of the pumpkin” is charming: in the heart of the down-to-earth Santa Croce area, across a canal, by a crooked bridge.
Alla Zucca swims against the Venetian tide: first because there is hardly any fish on the menu, and second because the prices are astonishingly low for such assured cooking.
The atmosphere is pleasantly post-Woodstock (or the Italian equivalent) and the front of house staff are all female, to a man.
Capacity of max. 35 pax.
